2010 Swim and Dive FAQ’s

The Swim Team is a group of Eastmoor members up to age 18 who practice Monday-Thursday mornings and have competitive meets on Fridays. The season begins after Memorial Day and ends August 1. Swimmers work on improving swim techniques and endurance. They are classified into groups by age and ability. These groups are 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18. The determining date for age is May 15th of the current year.

To be on the Swim Team, a swimmer must:
    • be able to swim at least one length of Eastmoor's pool and be comfortable swimming in the deep end;
    • attend practice and compete in meets; and
    • want to belong to a fun group and improve their swimming skills.

Dive Team has the same age groups as swim team. They practice 3-4 days a week and have one meet each week, usually on Thursday. Team members must attend practices.
